The former director of the Ungrd Olmedo López stated last Sunday that corruption in the entity exceeded the tanker case and reached $380 billion.

In an interview with RCN newsthe former official refused to reveal new names, pointing out that it is the responsibility of the Prosecutor’s Office to advance the principle of opportunity so that it can relate everything that happened in exchange for legal benefits.

These statements by López generated all kinds of reactions in different political personalities in the country. Such was the case of the opposition party Cambio Radical, who in a statement stated that there had not been “a similar embezzlement” in the country since the anti-corruption consultation led by Claudia López and Angélica Lozano.

Now you can follow us on our WhatsApp Channel and in Facebook.

In said message the community commented that: “Olmedo López says that 380 billion was what they looted from the UNGRD. Such a large embezzlement has not been seen in Colombia since the 310 billion that the “anti-corruption” consultation of Claudia López and Angélica Lozano cost to end up “kidnapped” in the Green Party by Petro.”

Cambio Radical also stressed the need to know the entire truth about the alleged looting of the Ungrd, including which congressmen received perks and the extent of them. In addition, the party expressed its opposition to the reforms proposed by the government, describing them as disastrous and stating that they should not continue their process in Congress.

Olmedo López told how much money was involved in said corruption case: “We are talking about $180,000 million committed to projects to benefit congressmen in contracts. And the same amount separated for the year’s agenda. In total the figure amounted to $380,000 million. The other $200,000 million had owners. One of those who gave the orders said: “those are mine.”

Regarding the identity of the person who would have disposed of the 200 billion, he did not reveal his name. “I would like to tell more. The entire country is waiting, I have been very cautious when going out to the media, I have not left the country as many said, but with a lot of fear. Mine goes beyond collaboration, when you have been following the same line for 32 years and this happens, you lend yourself to these things thinking that it is a path and it is betrayal. I come from a scheme where orders are received and followed, but more than a collaboration it is a betrayal of the structure to which I belonged.”

In that sense, in relation to said case, the Cambio Radical party made another publication in which they took the opportunity to raise questions about the pension reform and the Minister of Health Guillermo Alfonso Jaramillo. “If $380 billion were stolen in the UNGRD alone, according to Olmedo López, can you imagine what this government would do with $400 BILLION that the workers have in the pension funds in the hands of Jaime Dussan, or the $92 BILLION of health in the hands from Jaramillo?”

Additionally, they mentioned another interview by Olmedo López to Weekly magazine in response to a publication by the director of the Department of Social Prosperity (DPS) in which he comments that: “Now that the people of Bogotá know what it is like to live one day without water a week, I invite you to imagine how the inhabitants of more than 400 towns in Colombia that do not have an aqueduct and have never had water. If we had empathy, we would understand Pte Petro’s message: Less 4G, more aqueducts.”

To which the response of the community was the following: “Incredible that @GustavoBolivar tweets this after Olmedo López’s revelations to @VickyDavilaH about #ElConclave of the government of “change” of @PetroGustavo where it was ordered to buy congressmen and votes through of Minister Velasco.”
