Presidential candidate Donald Trump was booed and heckled by many at a raucous audience at the Libertarian National Convention, a marked change from the adulation he receives at rallies from his fervently loyal supporters.

WASHINGTON (Reuters / NA).- Libertarians, who believe in limited government and individual freedom – according to the Reuters news agency report – blame the Republican for rushing the creation of a vaccine against Covid-19 when he was president.
According to them, he should have done more to curb public health restrictions on the unvaccinated during the pandemic.
When Trump took the stage in Washington, there were loud boos, although a smaller section of the crowd, made up of his Trump supporters, cheered him on, according to the Reuters news agency.

A fan asked to be met with a bullet.

Shortly before he appeared, a member of the Libertarian Party shouted: “Donald Trump should have been shot!”
The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the hostile reception.
Trump, who was president from 2017 to 2021, immediately mentioned the total of 88 felony charges he faces in four federal and state proceedings. “If I wasn’t a libertarian, now I am”he claimed.
He denounced that the Government of President Joe Biden, his opponent in the electoral race for the November 5 elections, and his fellow Democrats are part of a “rise of left-wing fascism.”
Trump was trying to appeal to libertarians, who have more in common with Republican than Democratic policy positions on issues such as taxes and the size of government, in what is expected to be a closely contested election.
“We shouldn’t be fighting among ourselves.”he added, calling on libertarians to work with him to defeat Biden, a call that was met with many boos, although the vast majority of attendees were fiercely opposed to Biden and his administration.

Libertarians at 1.2%.
Libertarians won just 1.2% of the national vote in 2020, or about 1.8 million votes, but the November election could be decided by just tens of thousands of votes in a handful of battleground states, so Trump is trying to obtain some support from that sector.
Trump’s appearance at the Libertarian meeting, unusual for a Republican candidate for the White House, also highlighted the seriousness with which he and his campaign take the threat of Robert F. Kennedy Jr, a third-way candidate who opposes has long been a supporter of vaccines and who spoke at the convention on Friday.
Trump intensified his attacks on Kennedy, who runs as an independent, recently calling him a “fake” anti-vaccine man.
“The Libertarian Party can make a big difference. “If we unite, we will be unstoppable,” Trump commented to applause and boos.
He also stated that he was a “libertarian without even trying to be one” and that the Party that bears that name should support him, another phrase received with boos.
Undeterred, Trump taunted the crowd, saying that if they didn’t support him, they would continue to get only a small portion of voter support in the national election.
He promised to put a libertarian in his cabinet if he won the election, which was met with cries of “lie!”
Trump received huge applause for a promise. A rallying cry for libertarians is the case of Ross Ulbricht, who is serving a life sentence for creating and running the Silk Road website, which allowed users to secretly buy and sell drugs and other illegal products.
Libertarians believe Ulbricht’s 2015 conviction represents governmental and judicial overreach.
Before a crowd holding “Free Ross” signs, Trump promised to commute Ulbricht’s sentence if he regained the White House.
The president of the Argentine Republic, Javier Milei, who considers himself a libertarian, was recently in the United States and was photographed with Trump.
