Herminio Teófilo Camacho Conchucos is a medical technologist in physical therapy and has been contributing to the field of comprehensive rehabilitation for 28 years at the National Rehabilitation Institute (INR) of the Ministry of Health (Minsa). On Public Servant Day, the INR highlights its vocation for service and talent for research in favor of patients with disabilities.

Dr. Camacho, who works in the Department of Research, Teaching and Comprehensive Rehabilitation in Psychomotor Development of the INR, has carried out research individually and jointly with his colleagues, with the aim of contributing to the field of child rehabilitation . In addition, he is a Renacyt researcher, that is, he has the qualification of the National Council of Science, Technology and Technological Innovation (Concytec).

On this Public Servant Day, which is commemorated every May 29, the doctor in neuroscience expresses his feelings regarding the institution where he works. “The National Rehabilitation Institute is my alma mater, because I always wanted to work here. The INR allows me to develop in my three great vocations: my profession, teaching and research,” he says.

Camacho highlights that attention to people with disabilities must be warm and that it is necessary to carry out research. “We must always have dedication for the patient regardless of their degree of disability, we will always be able to do something for them. Our objective should be for the person with disabilities to integrate into society. In that sense, it is vital that every professional investigates to contribute and generate knowledge in the field of rehabilitation,” he points out.

It should be remembered that the National Rehabilitation Institute “Dra. Adriana Rebaza Flores” Friendship Peru-Japan is a health institution specialized in physical medicine and rehabilitation, which develops research, standards, teaching and highly complex comprehensive care, with a humanistic approach, oriented towards the inclusion of people with disabilities.

On this significant date, the Minsa recognizes all the personnel who work at the INR providing services in the public administration.
