A minor, whose age was not revealed, died in an accident between two cars that were apparently participating in collisions, early this Sunday on Route 32, in Palmiras de Siquirres, Limón.
The collision occurred around 1:20 am The minor was a passenger in one of the vehicles, which were traveling in a section of the new section with double lanes in the same direction, detailed the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ).
According to witness accounts, the two cars were participating in the so-called crashes when, for reasons still under investigation, they collided violently at high speed. This caused the vehicles to leave the road: one ended up overturned, from which the minor was ejected, and the other, half overturned against a wall.
The Fire Department reported that six occupants of both vehicles were affected.

Red Cross units from Siquirres and Batán responded to the emergency. The patients were transferred to the CAIS in Siquirres, and to the hospitals in Guápiles and Limón, to receive medical attention.
The traffic accidents left three more victims during the night of Saturday and the early hours of Sunday.
On Saturday, at 6:30 pm in Chimurria de Pocosol, in San Carlos, an alert was received about an accident on Route 35. A 28-year-old man, surnamed Rodríguez, died while driving his motorcycle and collided with a vehicle. that was moving in the opposite direction.
In another incident, which occurred at midnight on Sunday in Santa Ana, a 29-year-old cyclist named Umaña lost his life when he was hit head-on by a 4×4 type vehicle that was traveling south-north. The Costa Rican Red Cross arrived at the scene and declared him deceased at the scene.
Finally, on Sunday at 4 am, a 38-year-old man, surnamed Rojas, died while driving a tow truck on the Ring Road. Apparently, when he was trying to exit the access ramp towards Route 27, in Mata Redonda de San José, the crane moved completely to the right of the road, and left the road. While trying to return the vehicle to the road, it went off to the left side and collided with a wall. Rojas was ejected from the vehicle due to the impact and died at the scene.
