Taboada and Brugada are declared winners in CDMX

After the closing of polls, both the candidate of the PAN, PRD and PRI, Santiago Taboada, and Clara Brugada, candidate of Morena, PVEM and PT, declared themselves winners in the election for the head of Government of Mexico City.

The former mayor of Iztapalapa said that people voted to continue with the transformation in Mexico City and Mario Delgado, president of Morena, said that 5 exit polls give the cherry party victory in the capital.

“We won with a clear and irreversible advantage,” said Brugada.

Meanwhile, Taboada said that three exit polls give him victory in Mexico City.

“At this time we can give three exit poll results registered with the INE with more than 5 percentage points,” he said at his campaign center in the World Trade Center in Mexico City.

The former mayor of Benito Juárez said that this Sunday’s election day was historic, both for the participation of the people at the polls and for the victory in Mexico City after 27 years of leftist governments.

“I told the media that it was going to be a historic (day), historic for the ranks, historic for the spirit, but historic for the victory we are achieving today after 27 years,” he added.
