• We won six out of nine: Mexico City, Guanajuato, Yucatán, Puebla, Veracruz and Morelos.
At the closing of the polls, the national president of the PAN, Marko Cortés Mendoza, announced the victory of the Fuerza y Corazón por México coalition in six states of the country.
First, he raised his hand to Santiago Taboada for becoming head of the Government of Mexico City and thanked the chilangos who came out to vote, achieving a participation of almost 70 percent.
“How proud of you, dear friend, because you have been demonstrating that the challenge you set for yourself is a challenge that you achieve and today you won the Head of Government,” he celebrated.
Accompanied by the leaders of the PRI, Alejandro Moreno and PRD, Jesús Zambrano, the parliamentary coordinators of National Action, Jorge Romero and Julen Rementería, legislators and mayors of the three parties, the leader of the blue and white announced that in a clear and forceful way they won the states of Guanajuato, Yucatán, Veracruz, Morelos and Puebla.
“I congratulate the first governor of Guanajuato, Libia García Muñoz Ledo. I congratulate Renán Barrera, governor of Yucatán. I congratulate Eduardo Rivera, governor of Puebla. I congratulate Lucy Meza, governor of Morelos and I congratulate Pepe Yunes, governor of the state of Veracruz,” he expressed.
