Clara Brugadacandidate for the Head of Government of Mexico City Let’s keep making history (Morena, PT and PVEM), declared herself winner of the elections in the country’s capital, a few minutes after the polling stations closed and hours before the first results of the Quick Count are given, which the electoral authorities will present tonight.

In a press conference and accompanied by other Morenista candidates, the Morenista candidate affirmed that today’s election day was carried out in a “exceptional and peaceful” in the country’s capital.

“We are very pleased to inform you that this day we had an exceptional, peaceful, democratic, participatory and exemplary election day, the inhabitants of this city chose freely,” he said.

Just five minutes after the polls closed, Brugada assured that the majority of the population decided to “build the second floor of the Transformation” in Mexico City, declaring themselves the winner of the elections, that is, the new head of the capital’s Government. stating that according to exit polls he has a 15-point advantage over his opponents.

Likewise, he asserted that Morena also won the majority of the capital’s mayoralties, the deputations in the Congress of Mexico City and even federal ones, as well as the senatorial offices.

During his speech and hours before the National Electoral Institute (INE) publishes the preliminary results of the election, the former mayor of Iztapalapa also stressed that her government will work with all sectors and seek unity.

“I am able to inform you that we have an average of the exit polls that have been carried out by renowned polling companies and they give us an average of more than 15 points ahead. We won with a clear and irreversible advantage, we won the Head of Government, the majority of mayors and local and federal councils. We also won the senatorships.

“Today the majority of the population of Mexico City decided to continue building the second floor of the transformation in Mexico City, today the construction of the city of utopias that become reality begins and also today reconciliation begins in the City of Mexico, we are going to unite this city and we are going to work with all sectors,” he stated.

At the press conference, the Morenista candidate was accompanied by other candidates from her party such as Omar García Harfuch and Ernestina Godoy, candidates for the Senate of the Republic, as well as the general secretary, Citlali Hernández.
