After both political parties and some media outlets (based on results from polling houses) have come out to name candidates for the nine governorships and the presidency of the country, the representatives of PRI, PAN and PRD have issued a statement in which They asked to wait for the official results.

Marko Cortés, blue and white leader, stressed that it is necessary to wait for the official count data that the National Electoral Institute (INE) will offer minutes after 10 p.m. He pointed out that nothing can be advanced since it is estimated that 80% of the voters on the nominal list came out to vote.

For his part, Alejandro Moreno, leader of the PRI, asserted that the measurements should not be based on exit polls. And he added that the opposition alliance has clear data and documents that give them electoral preferences.

While Jesús Zambrano, PRD boss, declared that it is not ruled out that attempts are made to distort the results or disappear electoral records as, he assured, happened in the 2021 elections.

Cortés said that “there is always other data,” alluding to the phrase that President López Obrador frequently uses when criticizing or pointing out any deficiencies on the part of his administration.

It should be noted that minutes after six in the afternoon, the three leaders offered a public message in which they claimed to have won in six states in which the governorship is being disputed (Mexico City, Puebla, Morelos, Veracruz, Guanajuato and Yucatán ), as well as the presidency.
