Fire Walk EP (A Tribe Called Kotori)

Summer electronica by Share on the A Tribed Called Kotori label.

Sharon Pieksma aka Compartir, has toured the world, taking his sets from Switzerland to South Africa, from Amsterdam to Argentina, from Tulum to Ibiza. “Firewalk EP” releases it on stamp A Tribe Called Kotori by Oliver Koletzki.

Last year, on a trip to Africa, he was inspired by syncopated rhythms and the treasure trove of African sounds that musicians in the northern hemisphere are rarely able to delve into. The Dutch-born artist quickly began experimenting with these rhythms and melodies and established the roots of this EP.

Bubbles is about the incredible build-up, the new sounds added along the way, and the beautiful pause. I wanted to make it very fun and stimulating to make sure it makes you dance and have a good time and improve your mood. I called the song Bubbles because I love drinking carbonated drinks, including sparkling water and wine.” says Share about the track that opens the EP.

I first created Fire Walk as a melodic techno track, in which the melodic sound is very present. But I added many elements. Fire Walk is a very special track for me. During the break I wanted to create a moment of reflection to love yourself and everyone around you: a moment to be present, a moment to smile. Then a big fall brings you back to reality and you start dancing”, he says about the track that gives its name to the EP.
