Two cars suffered an accident tonight on Sant Josep Avenue near the Galp gas station, in the direction of Vila to the Can Cifre roundabout. One of the vehicles crashed into the bottom of a building, destroying a palm tree, while the other driver fled. The driver of the accident vehicle suffered fractures to his ribs while the co-pilot was unharmed.
The alarm was raised by local residents around 10:45 p.m. with calls to 112. Two cars had suffered an accident after one of them attempted to overtake or made a reckless maneuver.
The other car, after the impact, threw a few pivots in the middle of the road and ended up crashing into the bottom of a house, in turn destroying a palm tree. The ground has been left full of bricks from the collapsed wall.
The driver suffered fractures to his ribs that caused him breathing difficulties. His partner, however, was unharmed. Neighbors had to help the man out of the car because his door was dented after the impact.
The Ibiza Local Police were the first to arrive at the scene. Shortly after, the 061 ambulance arrived, taking both the driver and his partner to the hospital.
Of the other vehicle involved in the accident, it is only known that it fled in the direction of Sant Josep.
