What motivated you to be a candidate?
That I am born and raised in Peñalolén. I am a professional, an auditing accountant and I have a master’s degree in education, a history of social and political work for more than 20 years. And I have been a sitting councilor for eight years.
What differentiates you from the other pact candidates?
In Peñalolén we are tired of this electoral tourism. Many times, during election periods, many candidates from outside come and look with the eyes of tourists. They do not have experience and a journey through the streets, but only during electoral periods. My story is here and that makes a big difference.
Are you going to live there?
Exactly.
What is your opinion of the current administration?
Good actions have been done, especially these 20 years that began with Orrego. It has been a period of considerable transformation and investment, but I believe we can still do more. This management has had good successes, but there is obvious wear and tear.
What is it noticeable in?
Mainly in the leadership of the mayor. Sometimes the same people realize that the batteries are no longer the same, they are not 100%. But it has been good management, I can’t doubt that.
What was the episode of Carolina Leitao’s resignation from the DC to support José Ruiz like for you?
I expected the mayor’s support. But the most important thing is the support of the people and I feel like a candidate for the residents of Peñalolén. It was a difficult moment for me, but I stand by the citizen support.
Was he wrong to resign for supporting a candidate?
You have to ask those involved how they feel.
What are the emblematic projects of your program?
Let’s focus on security. We are thinking of a security corporation, which allows us not only to incorporate security vehicles and personnel, but also intelligence actions. We also consider public infrastructure issues relevant. Today the streets are very deteriorated.
Do you consider yourself a continuator of the legacy of Orrego and Leitao?
I consider myself a follower of Orrego. In fact, I became a militant at his invitation.

That was another political moment that was experienced. Peñalolén is not for experiments.
