A burst in a boat leaves five injured, four of them teenagers, in Moaña. Two of them presented various burns, so they were evacuated to the Povisa Hospital, in Vigo. According to the information collected on 112 Galicia, the event occurred around five this afternoon in the port of Meira.

A succession of calls to the Integrated Emergency Assistance Center of Galicia allowed the operation to be organized to assist the five crew of the vessel affected by the explosion. All the boat’s occupants jumped out and sought shelter in another boat, but two of them also needed medical attention due to some burns. In fact, they were evacuated to the Povisa Hospital, in Vigo.

Regarding the causes of the explosion, Civil Guard agents consider a fuel accumulation as the origin of the explosionwhich caught the attention of so many people.

By sea, Maritime Rescue also collaborated, although, when they arrived, the boat was barely smoking. This operation was completed with agents from the Local Police and, of course, professionals from Galicia-061 Health Emergencies, who carried out the transfers.
