Olmillos de Valverde is preparing to celebrate the traditional Festivities of the Sacred Heart of Jesus from June 7 to 9 with a program full of religious, cultural and festive activities for all ages.
Friday June 7
1:00 p.m. – The day will begin with the Holy Mass and communions in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, accompanied by the traditional singing of the bouquet. At the end of the mass, the bouquet and bagels will be raffled off.
2:30 p.m. – The festive atmosphere will move to the town’s bars with a lively vermouth dance enlivened by the brass band “Melodía”.
5:00 p.m. – Yumaro’s “Birds on My Head” exhibition, which will include impressive wooden works by neighbor Ángel Vicente, will open at the multipurpose center.
5:15 p.m. – The little ones can enjoy children’s inflatables.
6:00 p.m. – Traditional games for all ages, organized by the fifths and the commission.
9:59 p.m. – Time to recharge your batteries with dinner, followed by DISCO SANRO’s entertainment with its stage truck.
00:00 h – From Faramontanos de Tábara, the “GRUPO M-30” will be in charge of entertaining the night, followed by the performance of DJ “UTOPÍA”.
Saturday June 8
12:30 h – Holy Mass by the Women’s Association.
1:30 p.m. – Vermouth dance in the town’s bars.
4:00 p.m. – The “I Olmillos Motor Event” begins with many shows. From 5:00 p.m., DISCO SANRO will liven up the event with a wide variety of music.
10:30 p.m. – The brass band “Melodía” will make all attendees move their bodies.
00:00 h – From Castropepe, the talent of the province “ELECTROMOON” will arrive in Olmillos to make everyone enjoy themselves until their bodies can bear it.
Sunday June 9
To end the holidays in an unforgettable way:
2:00 p.m. – Barbecue organized by the commission. Those interested must sign up before June 4 at the town’s bars.
During the afternoon, there will be games organized by the fifths for all ages, and DISCO SANRO, with its stage, will accompany us again with a wide variety of music to close the festivities in a spectacular way.
