The world of motorsports suffered a great loss this Sunday in the town of Esperanza, Santa Fe. During the final of the fourth date of the Los Troncos category of the TC 2000, which took place at the Los Toboganes property, Lisandro Boxler He lost control of his car and crashed into a wall, resulting in his death.

The incident occurred around 3:50 p.m. during the final race. According to reports, it all started with an apparent collision on a curve when another car touched the Ford Escort of Boxler, a 37-year-old driver from San Jerónimo.

Boxler lost control of his vehicle, crossed the Olympic fence that delimited the circuit and headed directly towards a large wall that was part of an old refrigerator, impacting at high speed.

Local media report that the ambulance and medical service quickly arrived at the scene, but Boxler died while being taken to the hospital. The race was suspended immediately after the tragic accident.

With the race suspended, there were moments of great tension on the El Tobogán circuit. The drivers sat on the grass waiting for news of their colleague until the Sports Commissioner announced Lisandro’s death.

The news spread from Santa Fe and was then replicated throughout the world of motorsports, filling social networks with messages.

The Los Troncos Category published on its Facebook page: “Goodbye, Lisandro.” In a statement, they expressed: “In this difficult moment, we join the pain of his family and friends, extending our most sincere condolences.”

Daniel Muratore, one of the drivers in the category, joined in the condolences: “Today those of us who make up the Los Troncos family are in mourning, a friend, a colleague, has left. Those of us who put on a helmet and adjust our seat belts are exposed and we know it. Only we are responsible for our lives and that depends on picking up or continuing to accelerate… sometimes it goes well, today unfortunately for Gabriel’s family it went wrong. My condolences to the RIP family.”
