With the participation of 19 ventures focused on “Care, Preservation and Access to Water in Communities” The Demo Day of the Heineken Green Challenge was held, an initiative of the brewing company, together with IncMty, to offer sustainable solutions to the most important challenges, in environmental issues, that current societies face.

From home water treatment systems, to specialized systems for detecting water leaks in municipal distribution networks, These projects accessed an acceleration program that lasted 12 weeks in order to consolidate themselves as companies. The objective of the Demo Day is to publicize these ventures, see the progress they have made in their development and that they can be linked with investors and the private initiative.

Alejandra Zamudio, coordinator of the Heineken Green Challenge, recalled that the call arose with the objective of encourage entrepreneurs committed to solving current problems that arise in socio-environmental issuesand highlighted that in the six editions held, more than 4 thousand projects promoted by approximately 12 thousand 200 entrepreneurs have participated.

In addition, it was highlighted that more than 100 projects have been accelerated, including the 19 that were presented at Demo Day at “key actors of the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem of our country, as well as different investment funds, friends from different private initiative organizations, representatives of different government bodies and members of various and recognized study houses, we also have the presence of important collaborators of Heiken México, in the areas of innovation and quality, manufacturing, supply, institutional relations, brand innovation and sustainability”.

For her part, Claudia de la Vega, vice president of Corporate Affairs at Heineken, Mexico, pointed out that This country needs talent, ideas and creativity like that of the challenge participants. “We have been working on this project for more than six years now, which is with Inc Monterrey and I believe that is precisely the case, through alliances, through collaborative work where we can truly be agents of change and that is what We are looking to be agents of change, to use our scale for good. Heineken is a global company with a presence in more than fifty countries and is also a hotbed of talent.” stood out.

In his speech, Thomas Hogg, director of Inc Monterrey, acknowledged that the Heineken Green Challenge is a great example of how a platform can boost talent and the innovation of Mexican entrepreneurship.
