Violent fight in store with armed young man El Diario de Sonora

Marion, Ohio – Fight in the hallways of a store Family Dollar leaves several people upset. A NCO Sheriff’s deputy confronted a 16-year-old boy with a rifle hidden in his pants. The fight over control of the gun broke out around 5 p.m. on Monday, June 17, when the teen jumped out of a car in Silver Springs Shores and attempted to hide in the storeaccording to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office report.

“I managed to intercept (the young man) in front of the store“wrote the NCO Muhammad-Al Qubaisy in his report.

Non-commissioned officer Muhammad-Al Qubaisy told how the accused had a short-barreled rifle which could be seen inside his belt despite being covered with his sweatshirt, however, when they began to struggle and despite the police officer giving him orders to the accused to drop the weapon, he did not want to, while the tension and danger was felt by all involved.

A video shows the NCO and the suspect crashing through displays of citronella candles and Lay’s Stax chips, sending cans and candles flying. He NCO managed to win, obtaining the rifle and the young man’s shirt before forcing him to the ground to handcuff him. Investigators indicate that the chase began when the NCO attempted to stop a vehicle with a broken brake light. The vehicle finally stopped in the parking lot of a Family Dollar and a passenger jumped out and fled, according to authorities.

The boy will have to face charges of possession of a weapon or ammunition, possession of a rifle short-barreled or machine gun, display of a firearm during a felony, assault on a official of police, delivery of synthetic cannabinoids and possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana.
