Actor Taylor Wily has died at the age of 56 without the causes of his death having been revealed. The Hawaiian star was known before appearing on television series for competing in sumo matches, UFC and other mixed martial arts.
But if his fans remember him it is because of his presence in Hawaii 5.0where he was from its premiere in 2010 and until its end in 2020. In the reboot of the legendary series he played Kamekona Tupuola in 171 episodes, a character which he repeated in the reboots of MacGyver and Magnum P.I..
In the cinema it was part of the comedy I pass from youwith Jason Segel and Mila Kunis.
The news was confirmed by local Hawaiian media KITV, as well as by Instagram posts by Hawaii 5.0 executive producer Peter M. Lenkov.
“I am devastated. With a broken heart. I’ll post some detailed feelings later. Too hard right now,” she wrote on Instagram.
“You, as I told you many times, I fell in love with you at the first audition. You walked in with a towel on your head wiping off your sweat and I fell in love. You captivated me to become a regular on the series… and in my life. You were family. And I will miss you every day, brother. PS: When we talked last week, we laughed about how right you were from day 1. Hawaii 5.0 was our dream job. And I was very lucky to be able to share that magic together,” he added.
The actor leaves behind his wife Halona and their two children.
