Favian Loyola (19), American-Chilean midfielder for Orlando City of the United States, became the great reinforcement of the Roja Sub 20 in the last days.

The midfielder debuted with a goal and an assist against Australia, then he scored the same against Canada and immediately began to generate enthusiasm in Nicolás Córdova’s coaching staff and also in the Chilean fans.

Pedro Gallese (34), historic goalkeeper from Peru, is a Loyola teammate at Orlando City and, after the tie between La Roja and Rímac in the first match of the Copa América 2024, he spoke with AS Chile about the young midfielder.

– Pedro, what can you tell me about Favian Loyola?

– I have it on my team. He is a boy with a lot of enthusiasm, eager to grow and very humble. I have known that he is doing very well in the Roja Sub 20. I believe that he can contribute a lot to Chile.

– What are they talking about? Do you advise it?

– Yes, we are together every day, I have it in the dressing room. I always try to give him advice so that he can grow, because he is a player who will give a lot.

– And are they talking about Chile-Peru?

– Yes, the obvious (laughs). He is a great friend and I am sure he will grow.
