The journalist Peniley Ramirez, through his newspaper column Linotypepublished in the media Reformand titled UIF vs. Latinus, accused that the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF) opened a new investigation against journalist Carlos Loret de Mola, his wife, Victor Trujillo and two Latinus companies. This, after the communicator’s reports against the president’s children Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) and some of his closest friends.

After this, the journalist said on his social network account That was not only persecution and harassment against journalists, but also baseness and cowardice. “Whats Next? How far does the regime want to go to try to silence us?” Loret de Mola asked.

He noted that instead of investigating his own corruption scandals, The government once again used state institutions to take revenge on journalists who document this corruption. “He wants to finish off Latinus. He wants to finish us off. In any country that respects freedoms this would be inadmissible, unthinkable, scandalous,” he concluded.

In her column this Saturday, the journalist Peniley Ramírez recalled that Trujillo, in his character as Brozo, has hosted two programs on the Latinus platform, one of them with Loret de Molaand points out that both have been very critical of Obradorism, and have included satire as part of their work.

The journalist recalled that since last December, Loret de Mola presented in Latinus a series of reports titled The clanwhere it was announced that they had accessed 40 hours of call recordings between Amílcar Olán, Andrés and Gonzalo López Beltrán, AMLO’s oldest children. Latinus documented how Olán won million-dollar contracts.

Peniley points out that on several occasions, AMLO responded angrily to these publications in his morning conferences, vilifying Loret and confirming key parts of the information. In the column, Peniley says new unpublished research points to Loret and Trujillo.

He assures that on February 8, the UIF sent letters to all brokerage houses, exchange houses, banks and financial companies, where they requested information about Loret de Mola, his wife Berenice Yaber and Trujillo. The banks had to respond if they had bank accounts and balances, as well as submit any credit or loan records, your monthly account statements, and any details.

On June 5, according to the column, The FIU issued two other investigative letters related to Latinus. That time it was about two companies registered in June and September 2022. The companies are Latinus Media Radio and Latinus Media MX Hub. In both, says the journalist, the partner with 99% of the shares is the businessman. Christian González Guadarrama, who is also Latinus’ most visible partner.

Peniley The column concludes by pointing out that the Obrero movement repeats in its official communications that it defends freedom of expression and the press, however, “he has not explained why he financially investigates his critics, such as Loret, Trujillo and other journalists while in his government the Federal Prosecutor’s Office has given up investigating key cases, such as that of the President’s brother, Pío López Obrador.”
