Tihuatlán, Ver.- In its third edition and accompanied by band music, hundreds of riders from Zacate Colorado and surrounding areas celebrated San Juan Bautista through a parade that began from kilometer six Lázaro Cárdenas to the community auditorium.

The traditional event began at 11:30 in the morning from the Lázaro Cárdenas sports field, Totolapa metropolitan area, Plan de Ayala, Directorate of Roads, Mexico-Tuxpan federal highway, passing through the communities of San Miguel Mecatepec, Ricardo Flores Magón to finally Zacate Colorado.

For auxiliary authorities headed by Celsa Elena Clemente Espinoza, this tradition is carried out in its third edition with the aim of preserving it for a long time with future generations, always venerating Saint John the Baptist, recognized in the Catholic religion, since he was the one who baptized Jesus. to continue preaching the faith among Christians.

Hence, in each place where it is venerated, the population celebrates it with love and enthusiasm. In the case of Zacate Colorado Tihuatlán, the parade of coexistence is held, where parishioners travel several kilometers as part of the faith and gratitude for the benefits that granted by Saint John the Baptist.

Finally, at 1:30 in the afternoon, the tour culminated in the community auditorium, where the riders and the general population shared bread and salt as a sign of veneration for the patron saint, whom they assure they will continue to celebrate. date as part of a deep-rooted tradition and culture.
