Less than two months after being appointed director of Miss Universe Mexico, former model and actress Martha Cristiana resigned due to the lack of inclusion in the pageant, she indicated, since they refuse to accept trans women participating and to release the age range. of the contestants.

“Unfortunately, things have not been as promised and I find myself involved in a truly uncomfortable situation, where the answer to everything is: ‘Name! Trans? .. Not at all, zero,'” she indicated.

He denounced that although the contest says it is open to inclusion, it is totally false. “What is handled in the meetings is: ‘Name! 40 years? … Very old! Forget it.’ ‘Trans (women)? That’s lip service. That’s not gonna happen. It won’t happen,” she noted.

Because he does not agree with the way the pageant is handled, he decided to resign.

“I should not and cannot be part of an organization that is managed in that way and for that reason today I present my resignation to all of you because I cannot continue,” he declared.
