However, the Dominican suffered an injury over the weekend and was sent to the 10-day injured list, as reported by the manager of the Paddress, Mike Shildt, to the press on Monday with a stress reaction in the right femoral.

The injury at first did not seem so serious, but Fernando Tatis Jr. himself has told Marty Caswell of Sports760 that it will be some time that he will be out, and although he mentioned that he does not want to speculate, he says that it is something serious and that ‘ everyone expects it to be more than 10 days,’ with an optimistic scenario being the All-Star Game.
Tatis has reportedly struggled with discomfort in his right leg since the San Diego Padres’ season began in South Korea against the Dodgers, and that it worsened when they returned to the United States, with the player feeling cramps and at times, the body numb.
Sports Injury Central notes that in a worst-case scenario, Tatis may have a fracture and need to be placed on the 60-day injured list, which would call into question whether he will play again this season.
Tatis is hitting .279/.354/.468 with 14 home runs with a 135 OPS+ and 2.0 WAR.
