A series of incidents occurred in the vicinity of the Monumental State in the context of a friendly match between Colo Colo and Universitario de Lima of Peru, which left a fan dead as a result of the attack by a group of unknown people.

According to information from Carabineros, one person died as a result of a stabbing on Calle Mirador Azul. The person is believed to be from the Chilean group and it occurred prior to the duel between the two teams.
The victim was transported by a police car that was within the security perimeter established by Carabineros to a nearby healthcare facility, where an attempt was made to save his life.
The prosecutor Francisco Moralessaid the incident occurred around 8 p.m. and the fan was wearing Colo Colo gear and that “it appears to have been a fight between fans of different teams.”
In that sense, he confirmed that the crime occurred prior to the sporting event and that “there are a large number of recordings that are being analyzed by specialized Carabineros personnel to try to develop an investigative line in order to find the identity of these subjects.”
The victim “At the time of the attack she was alone, which we understand facilitated the attack by an undetermined group. until now, fans, initially, of the opposing team,” Morales said.
“We understand that at the time the events occurred, a large number of people had already entered the stadium, which will also have to be reviewed since there was a massive entry of fireworks that will have to be analyzed on its merits,” said the prosecutor.
Regarding the victim, it was reported that he was an adult man.
