The Colombian national team arrived on Sunday night in Charlotte (North Carolina), where next Wednesday they will face Uruguay in one of the semifinals of the 2024 Copa América.

Colombia flew in the afternoon from Phoenix (Arizona), where they beat Panama 5-0 in a quarter-final match yesterday.

The Celeste team was also scheduled to travel to Charlotte from Las Vegas (Nevada) on Sunday, but had to postpone the trip for a day due to problems with its plane, according to the Uruguayan Football Association (AUF).

Both teams will have to adapt to the new time zone, as Charlotte (GMT -4) has a three-hour time difference compared to Phoenix and Las Vegas (GMT -7).

The semi-final will be played on Wednesday from 8:00 p.m. local time (00:00 GMT Thursday) at Bank of America Stadium, the usual home of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers.

Both teams will be vying for a place in Sunday’s final in Miami against the winner of the match between Argentina and Canada.

The team that loses will stay in Charlotte, where the game for third place will be played on Saturday.
