Accident between car and truck leaves three people injured

Three people were injured and taken to the hospital in an accident between a car and a truck, which occurred this Friday morning (14), around 10:14, at the access intersection to Urubici, Cruzeiro neighborhood, in the municipality of São Joaquim. The incident was attended to by the Military Fire Department.

The service was provided by the São Joaquim unit. At the scene, firefighters confirmed that the accident involved a Mercedes Acielo truck from Pedras Grandes, driven by a 36-year-old man. He was walking at the scene, with no apparent injuries or fractures, refusing treatment.

The other vehicle involved was a white Fiat Argo, driven by a 55-year-old woman, who was also walking in the area, oriented, with stable vital signs and without apparent injuries or fractures. In her front passenger seat was a 23-year-old woman who complained of pain in her face and chest, but no visible fractures or injuries. In her back seat was a 21-year-old woman who reported neck pain, but no apparent injuries or fractures.

Both occupants of the Fiat Argo were taken to the Hospital de Caridade Coração de Jesus, in São Joaquim, for a medical evaluation. After treatment, the accident site was placed under the care of the State Highway Police.
