During the afternoon of this Saturday, June 15, Provincial Osorno fell on penalties against Deportes Temuco for the zonal round of 16 of the Chile Cup after drawing two on the synthetic field of the Ruben Marcos Stadium.
Those led by Esteban Valencia were 2-0 up on the scoreboard with an own goal from Osornino center back Luciano Vargas and a score from Franco Cortés. However, the discount in the epilogue of the first fraction by Bastián Melo and the great Chilean goal by Miguel Ángel Orellana in the complement, the “Toros” equalized the score and extended the series to penalty kicks.

With this result, Deportes Temuco continues in the race in the Chile Cup, while Provincial Osorno only has to focus on the Second Professional Division (third category of Chilean soccer)a tournament in which they are fourth, with 23 units, four points away from the leader, Deportes Melipilla.
