Balmaceda registers lowest minimum temperature

“Today at 06:38 in the morning, the Balmaceda Aerodrome Meteorological Station marked a minimum temperature of -21.9°Cthe lowest worldwide”the organization detailed.

Anyway, Antarctic temperatures were not consideredwhich during this day reached -71.7°C in Concordía.

Additionally, the Chilean Meteorological Directorate issued two meteorological warnings for the Aysen region by normal to moderate rainfall and normal to moderate frostsvalid until the morning of June 26 and 25, respectively.

Besides, The Seremi of Education of the Aysén region suspended classes for this June 24 in Balmacedadue to weather conditions.

In addition, the measure of the Seremi de Educación contemplates the towns of Lago Verde, Mañihuales, Coyhaique Rural (Lago Atravesado, Villa Ortega, El Blanco, Valle Simpson, Ñirehuao and Arroyo El Gato).
