It is the third holiday of the month, after the Primary Elections (Sunday the 9th) and the National Day of Indigenous Peoples (Thursday the 20th).
On this occasion corresponds to the religious holiday of Saint Peter and Saint Paul. As stipulated by Law 18432, this date has been celebrated in Chile since 1985, and according to Catholic tradition, it is done in commemoration of the apostles who accompanied Jesus until his death.
