A shocking video has come to light, revealing the moment in which Thiago César de Lima, an officer of the Military Police (PM) of Brazil, brutally beats his wife, Erika Satelis Ferreira de Lima, delivering five strong blows to her face. .

Later, and even more shockingly, he shoots him three times with his 40-caliber Glock pistol, causing his death. The tragic incident occurred inside his vehicle, in the North Zone of São Paulo, after a heated argument.

The video, lasting just over 20 seconds, has shocked the Brazilian population by showing the excessive violence exercised by the officer. Thiago César de Lima was arrested by his own Military Police colleagues on charges of murder and transferred to the Romão Gomes prison in the region.

Erika, 33, who had been married to the uniformed man for six months, leaves behind two daughters from a previous relationship. This heinous crime has highlighted the seriousness of gender violence and has fueled the debate on the protection of victims.

The Glock pistol used in the crime has been confiscated by authorities, and the Prime Minister’s Department of Home Affairs has been called in to investigate the officer’s conduct. Thiago will face criminal charges before the Civil Police and a hearing is expected to determine whether he will remain free or under arrest while the investigation is carried out.
