Aguas de Cartagena SAESP continues to face significant challenges in the repair of the aqueduct system on transversal 54, near the Ceballos neighborhood, where the depth of the pipe, which exceeds 7 meters, and the adverse environmental conditions complicate the work of repair. The water service provider has been working to move forward with the situation, with a team made up of contractors and its own personnel, to resolve and restore service efficiently in the neighborhoods and sectors affected by the damage to the pipe.

As part of its action plan, Aguas de Cartagena has announced a contingent strategy to ensure the well-being of users and minimize the impact of the water cut. Starting at 4 pm on Saturday, February 17, the water supply will be restricted in those neighborhoods that have not been affected by this emergency so far. The measure seeks to optimize storage tanks at adequate operating levels and guarantee capacity to meet demand in sectors that have been without service during the last 24 hours.

The gradual restoration of service in the neighborhoods currently without water supply is expected to begin around 6 p.m. The recovery of the service will be progressive, with the aim of ensuring a stable and efficient transition towards normalization for all affected users.
