A Russian missile hit the Gothic building that Odessa residents locally call “Harry Potter castle”. Four people were killed and 32 injured, the BBC reported.
EuroNews reported that the deceased did not have time to take shelter because the air raid alarms were activated shortly before the attack in the south of .
Dmytro Pletenchukspokesman for the southern defense forces, said: “The type of missile is currently being checked, forensic specialists are carrying out the relevant evaluations for this.”
The building, with a structure very similar to the one that appears in the famous movie saga, is the residence of the former deputy Serhiy Kivalov, who was injured in the attack, according to Ukrainian media. It is also the headquarters of the Odessa Law Academy directed by Kivalov himself.
Videos of the attack from different angles began to circulate quickly on X and within a few hours reached thousands of views.

What is Harry Potter castle?
The famous castle is a fictional building that first appeared in JK Rowling’s fantasy novel series and was later depicted in the films starring Daniel Radcliffe.
In fiction, the castle is the headquarters of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where the protagonists develop their skills as wizards and live most of their adventures.
“Muggles” (non-wizards) are not able to see it. They only see a sign advertising a ruined building. Those who do (the wizards) can see the spectacular building in the hills of Scotland.

The largest representation of the castle, the most reliable, is in The Wizarding World of Harry Potterin the Disney parks of Orlando (USA), and can be visited.
