According to the Vietnamese Legislative website, 94.25 percent of deputies voted in favor of the entry into force of the accession protocol to the regional treaty signed by London in July 2023 during the meeting of the Seventh Administrative Commission of the Cptpp in Auckland, New Zealand.

Signed on March 8, 2018 in Santiago, Chile by its 11 member countries (Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, Malaysia, Mexico, Japan, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam), the Treaty entered into force on December 30. of 2018 only for six of them: Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand and Singapore.

Later, the other five member nations of the Asia-Pacific bloc joined, which by 2021 represented 6.7 percent of the world population, 12.2 percent of the global gross domestic product (GDP) and 14.8 percent of the world’s trade exchange.

After this resolution was approved, Vietnamese deputies began to discuss the draft Notarial Law (revised), which contains 10 chapters with 78 articles and is based on the current legislation of 2014.

The amendment to the Notarial Law is intended to quickly institutionalize the policies and resolutions of the Communist Party of Vietnam on perfecting socialist-oriented market economy institutions, innovating the organization and work of notaries.

During its session the day before, the Parliament of Vietnam ratified the resolution on the approval of the liquidation of the state budget for 2022, with the vote in favor of 459 of the 460 deputies present.

The legislators highlighted the direction and promotion of discipline in compliance with forecasts and budget settlement in the reference period, but they also pointed out some deficiencies that arose in the relevant work.

The National Assembly of Vietnam opened its seventh regular session of the XV Legislature on May 20 and the first stage of work ended on June 8. The second phase takes place from the 17th to the 28th of this month.
