More than thirty people died in the Israeli attacks in the last 24 hours on the Gaza Strip, that today have been concentrated in the center and north of the Palestinian enclave.

According to local sources, at least 11 people died in a attack on a school in Al Shati camp, west of Gaza City, where many displaced people from other parts of the Strip take refuge.

In addition, three Palestinians died in a bombing against a group of people west of the town, where a large part of the Israeli attacks in recent hours have been concentrated.

Attacks were also reported in Yabalia, in the north of the Strip, where at least 17 people were killed in different Israeli bombings and artillery attacks.

In the Shujaiya and Sabra neighborhoods, In Gaza City, the Civil Defense reported attacks on homes and recovered two bodies in the first and three in the second.

Amid a desperate humanitarian situation, and with the main crossings into the besieged enclave closed, prices for even the most basic foodstuffs in northern Gaza are reaching prohibitive levels for the majority of the population.

According to local sources, a kilo of onions currently costs around 70 dollars (about 66 thousand Chilean pesos) and a kilo of tomatoes costs around 50 dollars (more than 47 thousand Chilean pesos).

A kilo of meat costs more than 100 dollars (95 thousand Chilean pesos), although it is currently impossible to find this ingredient.

Food prices have been at exorbitant levels for at least three weeks and do not stop growing every day.

Meanwhile, the Israeli armed forces continue their operations in the south of the enclave, where this Thursday they said they had attacked a headquarters of the Islamist group Hamas from where attacks against troops in Khan Younis were planned.

The attack was carried out by Israeli Air Force planes against the Al Hasna school, which according to the military was used by Hamas militiamen as a base of operations.

“The attack was planned and carried out in a prudent manner, using precision weaponry and avoiding harm to uninvolved parties as much as possible,” the Israeli military said in a statement.

Since the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza began following the Islamist group’s attacks on October 7, more than 37,700 people have been killed and thousands of bodies remain under the rubble of the devastated Palestinian enclave, according to the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health in the Strip.
