More than a hundred guests from 22 countries will be part of the ninth edition of Hay Festival Querétarowhich will take place from September 5-8 in the municipalities of Querétaro, Corregidora and Tequisquiapan.

There will be conferences, book presentations and talks with experts in literature, visual arts, film, music, journalism and human rights. Topics will be discussed around the climate emergency, the 30 years of the Zapatista movement, the war in Ukraine, Artificial Intelligence, among others.

There will also be Workshops and activities focused on youth and childrenas well as concerts and other artistic events.

Among the participants are the Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi (India) and the authors Leila Warrior (Argentina), Javier Moro (Spain), Rebecca Solnit (USA), Neige Sinno (France), Najwan Darwish (Palestine), Raul Zurita and Alberto Fuguet (Chile), Silvia Vasquez Washing (Peru), Antony Passeron (France), Petina Gappah (Zimbabwe), Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols, UK), Amalia Andrade (Colombia), Cesar Rendueles (Spain) and Emiliano Monge, Julieta Fierro, Luis Felipe Fabre and Myriam Moscona from Mexico, among others.

The musical billboard will be headed by Colin Greenwood, bassist of the legendary band Radioheadwho will be in conversation with Chá; Glen Matlockmember of the punk band, the Sex Pistols, and the singer Lila Downs.

And for the first time at Hay Festival Queerétaro, in collaboration with the Queretaro civil association Harmony and Inclusionsign language interpretation will be provided at three activities and a relaxed function for neurodivergent people.
