Recently, two identical sisters put themselves through airport security checks, where they exchanged their documents to see if they could identify them. Despite the legal risks that this implies, the result caused a sensation when it was shared on social networks.
Hrönn and Hrefna are two twins from Iceland who gained popularity through the TikTok account @hhtwins97, where they share different moments of their day to day. On a recent trip, they exchanged their passports when going through the immigration window and recorded the process.

Some twins exchanged their passports at the airport

Users of the social network shared other similar stories: “I did it with a friend. Hrönn and Hrefna are not the only twins who dared to exchange documents. At the end of December, British models and influencers William and Henry Wade followed this plan and shared the result on their TikTok profile.

Identical twins put facial recognition on their phones to the test
In another of their recent videos, Hrönn and Hrefna tested the facial recognition unlocking system for electronic devices. In front of the camera, they took the phone from one of them and verified that it was released. Immediately afterwards, the other girl repeated the attempt and they realized that it also passed the security test. However, this could also have another explanation, such as both being registered on the other’s device.
On an Apple user forum, one person exposed a similar situation: “I just bought an iPhone 11 Pro and I notice that my identical twin’s face can unlock it. I had heard that this was not possible… Any solution? In this regard, the brand’s help page explains that the probability that a person can unlock a product with the Face ID system “is approximately one in a million”. However, the company warns that in the case of twins and brothers with a great physical resemblance, “we recommend that you use a passcode to authenticate yourself”.
