Jewelry from the BBVA Mexico Cultural Promotion collection, on display

BBVA Mexico Cultural Promotion inaugurated the exhibition “Live the Living Collection”, with which it seeks to bring new generations closer to art pieces by great artists.

The exhibition brings together art produced in Mexico during the second half of the 20th century, by artists such as Jesús Reyes Ferreira, Luis Argudín, Marysole Wörner Baz, Pedro Friedeberg and Roger von Gunten.

The BBVA Mexico art collection is made up of 379 works by great Mexican and foreign artists of the 20th century, among which stand out Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Helen Escobedo, Leonora Carrington, Manuel Felguérez, Mathias Goeritz, Rufino Tamayo and Roger von Guntenamong others.

“We took on the task of selecting a sample of representative pieces that the bank has, and proposing a dialogue that allows new generations to have a fresh perspective of the work produced in the country during the 20th century,” declared Hugo Nájera. Alva, general director of Customer Solutions at BBVA Mexico, at the inauguration that took place on Thursday.

The exhibition is on the ground floor of the BBVA Mexico Tower and the entrance is on Lieja Street. Admission is free and will be open until May 24.
