This Long Island colonial house, built in 1930, needed a complete renovation to adapt to the needs of its current owners. The idea was transform the property into a home with contemporary and elegant design, combining functionality and style in equal parts. And boy was it achieved! The result – by the Tova Kook of TK Design studio – will surprise you. Can you come with us?
The foyer is one of the most impressive areas in today’s home, with a curved staircase that makes the most of the available space and a marble tile floor that maximizes sophistication. Details such as the design console curvymatching the staircase, and the gold metal ceiling lamps, complete the set.
For the kitchen, featuring a large central island, the owners dreamed of Calacatta Gold marble, but knowing how expensive and delicate it is, they opted for a Neolith porcelain tile that perfectly imitates marble. The result? A bright and chic kitchen, with white cabinets and stainless steel appliances that generate a most successful contrast between classic and modern.
Every corner of the house has been thought out in detail, from the work area integrated into the kitchen furniture, to the impressive wine cellar built into the wall of the formal dining room.
In the main living room, the curves are, once again, the protagonists. Both the sofa, the armchairs and the coffee tables follow this trend that softens the environments and adds undeniable elegance.
Apart from this living room, there is a more relaxed and informal living room, with a modular sofa upholstered in sheepskin, a bioethanol fireplace built into a wall with palillería covering, and a round dining table, more focused on the meals of the day. a day.
In the master bedroom, elegance can be seen in every detail of the decoration: the velvet upholstered bed, the wall moldings…
With a glass-enclosed shower stall and black French door-style trim, the master bathroom combines simplicity and elegance.
In the bathroom, the black wallpaper color adds depth and character.
The result is a bright, sophisticated and cozy home, perfect for enjoying family life with all the comforts covered.
