The artistic work of the region meets once again at the Altarte society. In this tenth edition, 18 artists participate in the ‘Nahasi Artistikoa’ exhibition, which brings together some of the painters and sculptors who are part of the … group Goierriko Artistak and which has the painter Patxi Morales as host and promoter.
Last Friday the exhibition was inaugurated with a large influx of public. Friends and neighbors who are fans of painting took the opportunity to learn about the artists’ latest works and chat with them about them. Participating in this ninth edition are Aitor Merchán, Ángel Frías, Eli Agirre, Iban Aranburu, Iker Dorronsoro, Jesús López Zulueta, Jesús Rodriguez, Javier Ibañez, Javier Soto, Jokin Telleria, Maider Urretabizkaia, Patxi Morales, Peio Goello, Jose Luis Elexpe ‘Pelex ‘, Sergio de La Fuente and Víctor San Juan.
In the dining room of the Altarte society, painting prevails in almost all its artistic modalities. Due to the limited space they have, each author has presented a work, which also allows us to appreciate the different styles and proposals of each one.
Varied styles
The exhibition brings together some of the region’s best-known artists, some with work spread across different locations. Among others, you can see the most realistic work of authors such as Telleria or Soto, the figurative paintings of Zulueta, Merchán, Goello or Urretabizkaia and the abstract paintings of Pelex or Agirre; all of them with their own characteristic style.
The exhibition will be open at the Altarte society until June 30 on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. To visit the exhibition during the week, you will have to make an appointment by calling 658 713 918.
The ‘Nahasi artistikoa’ exhibition emerged in 2012 as a way to show the work of Goierri artists. Since then, the Altarte society has hosted the exhibition in which the authors vary. The current one is the tenth edition since due to the coronavirus pandemic there were some years in which they had to suspend the meeting.
