Description submitted by the project team. Located in one of the main avenues of Manaus, VIPE 201 arises as an internal commitment by the Vipe architecture studio, with the aim of providing the city with a building with an innovative language and a careful approach to thermal comfort. The project aims to establish a balanced relationship of construction with time, embracing patina and avoiding aesthetic control.

He works with materials that adapt to the circumstances, where, pragmatically, this unpredictability becomes an inherent element of the object, thus reducing the frequency of maintenance. The construction is composed of prefabricated concrete pieces, Corten steel panels and outstanding vegetation supported vertically on its facades, guaranteeing elegant architecture and rapid execution of the project. The building is structured with only six pillars and three prestressed flat slabs. The larger west-facing façade requires protection provided by large prefabricated brise-soleils, which shade sunlight and allow the use of recessed glass panels. These planes define the internal spaces, but their transparency articulates a constant visual permeability between the interior and the exterior, the building and the city. Two openings at the ends of the slab allow sunlight to reach vegetation in planters and brise-soleils, while domes ventilate bathrooms and solar panels improve the building’s energy efficiency. The commercial use program includes reception, waiting room, café, business rooms and bathrooms on the ground floor with double-height ceilings, as well as an external bathroom and storage room. On the first floor, there are nine additional business rooms, waiting areas and bathrooms.

The office is located on the second floor, with reception, living room, workstation, meeting room, kitchen, bathrooms, storage and external relaxation space. VIPE 201 allows multiple programs, floor plans and layouts due to its free floor plan. Finally, further enriching the urban landscape, the vegetation of tumbérgias, guaimbés, singonios, jabuticabas, money in penca and yellow alamandas are present and communicate with the existing trees nearby.
