During this last week, as established in the school calendar, Chaco educational institutions of all levels and modalities held the first Provincial Reading Day, under the motto “Reading connects us to comprehensive literacy.”
This is an initiative of the Ministry of Education, through the Provincial Library Service and the Provincial Reading Plan, in coordination with all levels and modalities directorates, which has the objective of generating spaces for meeting, reading and reflection promoted by teachers. and librarians, with students, families, society leaders and writers.
“This is a fundamental activity that allows the child, the adult, the student, the individual to have contact with the book, with reading; access the symbolic and cultural capital that free literary reading offers; access reading actions and proposals that are not available anywhere, but can only be carried out by reading professionals, such as librarians, teachers and all those who are reading mediators in the community,” Claudia explained. The educational portfolio sent to all institutions a document prepared by the Provincial Reading Plan with proposals and strategies for their organization and development, taking into account the particularities of each level and modality. On the occasion, Iglesias highlighted and thanked the participation of Chaco writers, “being present in schools, in libraries, establishing that fundamental contact for the promotion of reading, which is the contact between the reader and the writer that offers us the literary treasures that we like so much.”
