“About what our family relationships are like, our relationships with our partners, our relationships with friends, because when you start doing pornography, all the relationships around you change,” Amaranta said.

Amaranta highlighted the lack of representation of the voices of those who have practiced pornography in the literature on the subject, which is generally dominated by academic analysis.

“Look, I know that there is literature about pornography, but above all done by people who analyze, by academics, about the impact of pornography consumption, But there are very few stories told from the voice of people who practiced pornography.. And it seems to me, without wanting to give myself the flowers, that it ends up being quite valuable because it starts from true stories, part from criteria, from our feelings,” he added.

Additionally, Amaranta addresses criticism of the pornographic industry, pointing out how It often becomes an industry that neglects the well-being of the artists and actors involved.

“The processes where there are colleagues telling their stories on social networks and all this, podcasts that there are today to talk about pornography, help people soften and know that behind an artist who is working with his genitals and with his sexuality, there is a human being who feels and is sometimes hurt by this hypersexualization, because it is not well received 24 hours a day as people expect it to be received,” he explained.

He hopes that his book will generate a broader and more comprehensive conversation on the topic, away from academic analysis, and that it will help raise public awareness about the challenges and experiences of those who work in this industry.
