President Javier Milei will present his book “Capitalism, socialism and the neoclassical trap” at Luna Park on May 22, after the controversial situation generated by the announced presence of the head of state at the Book Fair, as confirmed today by the Presidency of the Nation.

The president had originally planned to present his book on May 12 at the Book Fairaccompanied by the national deputy José Luis Espert, but after the controversy that arose with the president of the El Libro Foundation, Alejandro VaccaroMilei decided to change the location, claiming that they detected strong hostility towards him during negotiations with the Fair authorities.

In a radio station, the president maintained that in the negotiations carried out by his sister and General Secretary of the Presidency, Karina Milei, they suspected that “there is an issue of sabotaging the presentation and doing it in the Kirchnerist style, in a violent way.”

“They have threatened us that they are going to do things to us, a type of behavior that is inappropriate for the culture and we cannot expose ourselves to being blocked,” Milei added.

“We have to take certain precautions, we cannot expose ourselves to being blocked. They are taking actions typical of someone who wants to sabotage an activity,” she argued. Along the same lines, the president added that Alejandro Vaccaro gave a “violent and inappropriate speech, with false questions.”

From this, the Presidency confirmed that the event will take place at Luna Park on May 22.

For his part, Vaccaro indicated in dialogue with Infobae that yesterday “25 people from the production company, the Military House and even the Presidency of the Nation had been at the Fair. We agreed on everything, what the fences would be like, everything.”

“We were clear, we wanted the president to come,” Vaccaro said. “But they must have evaluated that it was not convenient for them… you have to get those people in, they have to pay the entrance… it’s not easy,” he added and continued: “It’s a trap: it turns out that now Milei doesn’t come because we don’t want to.” …”
