Folklore and book presentations for the Día de les Lletres in Siero
Siero will celebrate Asturian Literature Day with folklore, a commemorative bookmark and the presentation of two books. According to the Councilor for Culture, Aurora Cienfuegos, during the presentation of the program, the first activity will be this Saturday and will consist of a tour of the council’s folk groups through the towns of Lugones, Pola de Siero, La Fresneda, El Berrón and Colloto , “linking their music and songs with the Asturian language.” This parade will last for two hours and during its course the residents will be given a bookmark made especially for the occasion by the Siero Municipal Culture Foundation. Later, on Monday, starting at seven thirty in the afternoon, the chamber room of the Pola auditorium will host the presentation of the book “Tres pates pa un tayuelu”, by Sidoro Villa. On Wednesday, at the same time and in the same location, the launch of another book will take place. This is “A Way to the Stars”, written by clinical psychologist Concha Fernández.
