Family and books

The admired Cuban writer and politician, José Martí, made immortal one of those thoughts of his, in which he said that, “there are three things that each person should do during their life: plant a tree, have a child and write a book.” Well, Antonio Ledezma has seven children, throughout his life he has been able to sow many seeds that now flourish giving shade, and he has been able to put several books into circulation.

The family has always been involved in the writing and elaboration of these texts. For one thing or another, we have been assisting Antonio, helping him to make all those literary efforts possible, like this last one that he had the idea of dedicating to his twelve grandchildren. For this reason, his eldest granddaughter, Oriana Victoria, made her presence felt on the speakers’ platform to leave her words of gratitude to her grandfather “for having written this work thinking about nature, describing the significance that the environment has for humanity.” and what it represents as heritage and source of hope for the Venezuela of the future.”

In an evening full of emotion and hope, Antonio Ledezma presented his most recent literary work titled “Venezuela, Politics and Environment.” The event, which took place at the headquarters of the World Jurist Association on Calle de Jorge Juan-30, in the city of Madrid, had the distinguished presence of personalities of the caliber of former presidents Felipe González of Spain and Felipe Calderón of Mexico , who joined in supporting this initiative of reflection and change, in addition to a large audience that appreciated, to our satisfaction, what family means to us as a couple. The family will never forget the generous words of Humberto Calderón Berti who sponsored this copy and even less the prologue written by Arnoldo Gabaldón, which gives prestige to this new book by Antonio Ledezma.

Antonio Ledezma’s book “is not only an in-depth analysis of Venezuela’s mineral reserves and green energy alternatives,” but also an urgent call to action amid the challenges facing the country. In its pages, Antonio explains the strategic importance of responsibly managing the country’s natural resources, as well as the imperative need to move towards more sustainable and clean energy sources.

The passion with which Antonio describes the characteristics of the Venezuelan territory was truly contagious, walking through the paths of La Guaira, to take us from the coast of Vargas to an imaginary trip over the Ávila hill, imagine the waves of the beaches of Choroni, contemplate the waters from the lake of Valencia or Maracaibo, walking around the Morros of his native San Juan, looking at the sands of the Médanos de Coro, the peaks of Los Tepuyes, the freshness of Angel Falls, the beauties of Canaima, the paradises of Morrocoy, Mochima or Los Roques, the savannas of Barinas, Portuguesa or Las Galeras del Baúl in Cojedes, the mysteries of the Sorte mountain, the Guácharo caves and the immensity of the Orinoco and Caroní rivers.

For Antonio Ledezma, Venezuela has everything, in addition to Oil, Gold and Gas, that natural wealth and its powerful people that will make it possible to rescue freedom and return to the path of progress.
