The 18-year-old resident of Monte Grande who published her first book of poetry

Her name is Maitena Luque. She was a student at the Grilli Monte Grande Institute and this year she began studying Psychology. She began to develop writing at the age of 13.

“It was very difficult for me to express my emotions in a healthy way. I had tried many other ways, but I didn’t connect at all. I used to talk a lot with friends and I also read,” the neighbor told El Diario Sur. And she continued: “One day, I was alone in my room and inspiration just happened. From that day on, I never stopped.”

About choosing poetry to display his creativity, he explained that “you can play many games and find out which one you connect with best.” “I like how diverse the genre is when it comes to writing,” she added.

His book “Poetry in a Winter Labyrinth” is 101 pages long and went on sale in May. It was made with the El Zócalo publishing house and is a chronology of the experiences that Maitena had throughout his life, along with his way of interpreting them: “It is a book that expresses feelings with a lot of drama… sadness, loneliness , melancholy and even moments of happiness”.

“It had much more impact than I thought. I was always an introverted person and not everyone knew I wrote. I released a book from one day to the next and had many surprises,” he said. And she clarified that she was invited to present her work at the Book Fair.

In that sense, Maitena remarked: “It was a lot and in a very short time. I never liked being seen, but I suppose that at this time I started to be. It had a very positive impact. I feel that this is very new, and for to be able to start other things that I would like, I still have to go through other internal processes.

“Turn off the stereo”, by Maitena Luque

I had to change all the songs on the radio because without driving they took me to the same place. In all the streets I stopped walking because I hoped in one of them I would find you again. Every night I stopped dreaming because you still didn’t stop living in my unconscious. One day I was able to change and get away from that place, to enter into my own need. Maybe I always remember your laugh and that makes me smile, but people stop loving each other and bonds stop holding together.

There are things that are no longer understood and others that are never understood, such as drastic changes in just months.

We have the power to change and choose what hurts us, sometimes it is a matter of self-esteem and understanding that not everyone has the esteem.

Speaking is showing that you still care about something, even if you say you won’t continue sketching. It is not wrong to suffer, nor to put it in terms of good and bad, but we came knowing what our needs were and what things to work on to free ourselves from evils.

Free from evil, free from guilt and focus on yourself so as not to stagnate in the abyss.
