Ismael started as a coach at the Sporting de Gijón Dizziness School, led by Abelardo Echevarría, former soccer player and at that time (1990) Director of Dizziness. There he had the opportunity to create the first Women’s Soccer School of a team in the Spanish First Division and direct the first women’s team of Sporting de Gijón, as well as become Second B champion with the men’s subsidiary team. He then signed for Málaga, with which he was promoted to the Second Division. He had experiences abroad: First Division of Kazakhstan and Portugal or Second Division of Finland. He was also a Technical Director, a teacher at Coaching Schools, a commentator and now does individualized work to help players make decisions.
