‘The time of the beasts’, Victor del Arbol
Víctor del Árbol was a police officer until he decided to study History and become a novelist. Since then he has published several books and has received numerous awards, including the 2006 Tiflos Novel Prize, Grand Prix for Detective Literature in 2016… To name a few. And In 2018 he was named a Knight of Arts and Letters of the French Republic.
The book, which is coming out in the August literary releases, is said to be the most authentic crime novel of our time. “A policeman on the verge of retirement is exiled by his family to the peaceful Lanzarote, where he must spend the last years of his career. Why not choose an architecture book from among the new literary releases of August? It will be published at the end of the month José Luis Picardo. The latest of filmmaker Isabel Coixet’s books is a good read to pack in your suitcase. The title? I write you a letter in my head, literary chronicle book that comes from the publishing house Círculo de Tiza, always with interesting titles.
A reflection of those first thoughts she had at the age of three, in which she realized that there was a connection between the screen and life. It was clear that she would become a film director. ‘All those seas’, Laia Aguilar
From the Destino publishing house, at the end of August, comes All those seas, of Laia Aguilar. The novel is set on the magical island of Formentera and features three generations of protagonists.
