On Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, the third edition of Winter, the publishing and graphic culture fair that brings together book lovers in Mar del Plata every yearand which once again provides for a large number of free activities in its programming.
“Winter It is a fair for editorial and graphic projects. Every year it brings together small, medium-sized, artisanal, industrial, independent and alternative publishers. from the province of Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Santa Fe and the City of Buenos Aires,” the organizers reported in a statement.
“In these two days you will be able to meet more than one hundred editorial projects with books of diverse characteristics and themes, and graphic projects linked to the fanzine, bookbinding, illustration and screen printing,” they added.
As happened in previous editions, Winter will take place in the foyer of the Provincial Arts Center (Teatro Auditorium, Patricio Peralta Ramos 2280, Mar del Plata). The doors of the place will be open from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m..
As announced, the publishers Bajo la luna, Barba de Abejas, Bosque Energético, Caja Negra, Cactus, Club Hem, Empathy, El Gran Pez, Sigilo, El Altillo Editor, among others, will be present with their stands and their books. EME, Godot, Gourmet Musical, Audisea, Hotel of Ideas, The Cursed Part, Kill the Messenger, Lecturita, Letra Sudaca, Limonero, Loco Rabia, Niño, Los Lápices, Honeysuckle, A Thousand Bottles, Many Nuts, Odelia, Disruptive Element, Santos Locos, Sudestada, Train in Motion, Portaculturas and Ojoreja.
The programing
The Winter organizers anticipated that the talks scheduled on this occasion “will address topics ranging from literature and mental health to artificial intelligence and art.” The fair will also have illustration workshops for children on comics and group composition.; and for adults about collage, biographical profiles and literature in relation to cinema. In addition, there will be a tribute to the Argentine science fiction writer Carlos Gardini.
This year there will also be activities related to cinema. Two feature films will be screened: Zamaof Lucrecia Martel and The wind that sweeps awayof Paula Hernandezbased on the books of Antonio Di Benedetto and Selva Almada, respectively. Furthermore, it will be staged I will cut down men from the face of the eartha work by the Spanish playwright María Velasco, in a version of Emilio García Wehbi.

The Winter Fair is organized by the group of editors, writers and designers that is based in the El Gran Pez bookstore, and by the Cultural Institute of the Government of the Province of Buenos Aires, within the framework of the “Buenos Aires Plan to strengthen books and the reading”.
