For the third consecutive day, the dollar rose in Colombia. For this Wednesday the price is $3,938.11 pesoswhich is equivalent to an increase of 1.25% compared to the previous day (48.53 Pesos) and reached the highest level in more than a month (since 2024-03-06).
The TRM decreased by 11.01% (487.16 Pesos) in reference to the same day of the previous year, but increased by 1.38% (53.47 Pesos) compared to the same day of the previous month. Experts expect these changes to continue during the week and have to do with different national situations, such as the fall of the health reform, water and energy rationing, among others.
The Bank of the Republic, when 2024 began, had indicated that the behavior of the dollar would be exposed to broad instability, due to factors that take place at the national and international level and that it will probably stabilize in the short term.
By the end of this, always guided by the entity’s data, the value will be $4,081 pesos per dollar on average, an encouraging outlook since it will be far from the peaks recorded during the first months of 2023. Regarding inflation , the trend is expected to be downward and drop to 5.61%, still far from the ideal of three points.
