Buenos Aires – Aarna Holdings Ltd., an investment fund that manages capital from India and United Arab Emiratessealed this week an alliance with the Werthein Group to start investing in Argentina and in Latin America, as confirmed to Bloomberg Línea by the Argentine holding company.

The alliance will aim to promote “the entry of Asian capital into Latin America and projecting Latin American businessmen towards the market” of India in the medium and long term. Werthein Group is known mainly for managing, through the company Vriosatellite television brands DirecTV and Sky in the main markets of the region. It also has companies dedicated to food and beverages, such as Cachamai and Frutty; to agribusiness, as is the case of GNNW Agro and Livestock; and safe, with Expert.

The holding’s leadership is made up of Darío, Adrián, Daniel and Lucas Werthein.

At the moment, Aarna has investments in India, the United States, Europe and Asia, while its president, Ameya Prabhu, president of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

Sources with knowledge of the agreement assured Bloomberg Línea that Prabhu chose the Wertheins based on their portfolio in telecommunications, banking, agribusiness, food and beverage, and technology.
